Annual sailing race from Baltimore to Portsmouth to benefit the Chesapeake Bay Foundation and the Elizabeth River Project. October 23 - 25 -- Annual Schooner Rendezvous. The annual Schooner Rendezvous is held at Long Wharf in Cambridge, Maryland. Cambridge, MD. October 24 - 25 -- Rock Hall Oyster and Seafood Festival. Celebrate the opening of the oyster season at this town wide festival. Enjoy the All-You-Can-Eat waterfront buffet, live entertainment and fun for kids. A fleet of traditional Chesapeake Bay Workboats will be on display. Don't miss the Oyster Ball at Waterman's Crab House Saturday Night. 12-4pm for the All-You-Can-Eat and 7-11pm for the Oyster Ball. Rock Hall, MD. Oct. 27 -- Mid Atlantic Small Craft Festival. One of the nation's premier small craft events. Hundreds of amateur and professional builders and enthusiasts bring their skiffs, kayaks, and canoes. October 29 - November 1 -- Schooner Sultana Downrigging. Nov. 21 -- Grand Illumination Parade. Norfolk kicks off the holiday season with the lighting of downtown buildings. Parade includes lighted floats, marching bands, and Santa Claus. 7:00pm. December December 5 -- Boat Parade and Santa's Arrival. Join Santa as he arrives at the bulkhead in the company of bands and lighted boats. Boats come through the jetty at 6pm. More info.
